Exploring Colour
Week 2: We spent this workshop exploring colour – hot and cold colours and looking at how different colours contrast with one another. We used the patterns, shapes and marks made during week 1 and used watercolour paint to ‘colour-in’, using cold colours for the objects and foreground and warm colours as the background and in between spaces. It was fun watching the paints mix on the paper too. The children worked on their own drawings and we finished the session off with a super speedy collaborative painting which will be used in week 3. Beautiful, bold and colourful patterns.
