,

A rare opportunity came my way today. . . a walk with my husband and my camera with no children in tow.

The sun was shining and it was a beautiful spring day. I am about to embark on a long overdue painting session – my head is bursting with ideas, but I’ve just not managed to secure any time – I have been so busy with the workshops as well as designing for Open Change – both things which I absolutely love doing. Creatively, 2017 has been such an exciting time for me – my workshops are going from strength to strength, each block books up faster and faster each term, and at the start of the year I was invited to become an Associate of Open Change – a Scotland-based service design and innovation company. I am a very lucky person to be able to do all of this.

But this morning was about me and my camera on the hunt of inspiration in the landscape – seeking out patterns and colour to help steer my new making.

The sunshine made minute colour shine loudly, and shadows danced in the gentle breeze.

I think there will be plenty more walking with my camera over the coming weeks, but today was a pretty fab start.
