Spring Fields

After a family bike ride at the weekend it became obvious how much our landscape has changed over the last few days – greens are becoming more vibrant, the browns are disappearing, and the vibrant yellow of rape seed oil is starting to emerge. We’re lucky enough to stay in a rural location and seeing these changes is part of our every day.

For this workshop, the children were asked to either imagine a landscape, or use one they had seen during their daily exercise. Lots of the children in this workshop were managing daily walks, a few lived on farms so were experiencing first hand these changes to our working landscape!! We used Turin Hill near Forfar as a starting point for our colourful patchwork landscapes!! How beautiful and vibrant are these fields?!!

All artworks are made by children age 7 – 12yrs

Dates for future on-line workshops are on my How to Book page
